About

We are located in the centre of Exeter in the south west of England, beside a golf driving range and a large park. The Exeter and District Ski Slope provides a realistic simulation of snow. For beginners it is an ideal way to learn basic techniques prior to a ski holiday and for more experienced skiers it provides an opportunity to improve skills. There is a separate nursery slope for beginners and a tow on the main slope. Both slopes are flood lit and sessions open in all weather conditions.

Please note that users of the slope are expected to adopt appropriate levels of caution and control, and ski within their personal limits. Failure to do so will result in their being asked to leave the slope.

The Ski School is staffed by nationally qualified instructors. Only Exeter Ski Club instructors are permitted to give instruction on the slope. Our instructors will coach all standards of skier from beginners to race. Click here to read our privacy policy

History

The club and the slope was the vision of a few extremely enthusiastic individuals, who wanted to share their love of the sport of skiing with the public of Exeter.  In the late 1960’s, having located a suitable site, the slope was constructed by volunteers.  The slope opened in 1968, only the second slope to open in England, which means that 2018 was our 50th anniversary year.

To date, we have taught over 250,000 people to ski or snowboard
